hierarchy.unwind

Removes an element and everything below it from a hierarchy. The dimension's elements aren't deleted.

hierarchy.unwind(dimension, hierarchy, parent)

Parameters

dimension	string	The dimension's name or id.
hierarchy	string	The hierarchy's name or id.
parent	string	The element to remove, along with everything below it.

Returns

string

An empty string when it succeeds, or an error message when the dimension, hierarchy or element can't be found.

Examples

hierarchy.unwind("Account", "Profit and Loss", "EBITDA");

This removes EBITDA and everything under it from the Profit and Loss hierarchy of the Account dimension.
