# security.removeUser

Removes a user from your MODLR account.

::: tip Removing someone from one application?
Use [`security.application(...).users.remove()`](/process-functions/security-application-users-interface#remove) instead. It takes the user out of that application without removing them from your account.

security.removeUser(userId)
```

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `userId` | `number` | The id of the user. |

## Returns

`true` if the user was removed. `false` if the user can't be found or couldn't be removed.

## Examples

```js
security.removeUser("123");
```
