# security.applicationUserHasTag 

Checks if a particular user in an application has a specific tag.

security.applicationUserHasTag(applicationId, tagName, userId)
```

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `applicationId` | `string` | The application id. |
| `tagName` | `string` | The access tag's name to check. |
| `userId` | `number` | The user's id. |

## Returns

`true` if the user holds the tag; `false` otherwise (including when the application is not found).

## Examples

```js
const isApprover = security.applicationUserHasTag("Finance App", "Approvers", 123);
```
