# mapping.wipe

Removes all rows from a mapping, keeping the mapping itself. Row ids start again from the beginning, so ids read before the wipe no longer apply.

```js
mapping.wipe(mappingName)
```

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `mappingName` | `string` | The mapping's name or id. |

## Returns

`true` if the mapping was wiped, otherwise `false`.

## Examples

```js
mapping.wipe("Mapping Name");
```
