# cube.log

Turns a cube's change log on or off.

```js
cube.log(cubeName, shouldLog)
cube.log(cubeName)
```

Turning logging off speeds up very large data loads. Remember to turn it back on afterwards.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `cubeName` | `string` | The cube's name or id. |
| `shouldLog` | `boolean` | Optional. `true` to log changes, `false` to stop. Leave it out to check whether logging is on. |

## Returns

Whether the cube is logging changes.

## Examples

```js
cube.log("General Ledger", false); // Stop logging changes
const isLogging = cube.log("General Ledger"); // false
```
